If we are lucky, upon our birth into this great world we are granted a clean bill of health. Along the journey of life there are many events that can cause us to either promote our wellness, or lose it. As health is an active process, if we are to live long, happy, quality lives, we must do all things necessary to facilitate the retention of our optimal physical, mental, and spiritual well being.
This is not easy. We must hold ourselves accountable, and possess the requisite discipline to do the work required. When we fail to take the right path, and we often will, we must listen to our bodies, and adjust to a way of better living. We must also listen to other individuals in our lives, friends, family, doctors, therapists, and other advisors who would look out for our best interests regarding our health. This support system is crucial; without it, we may often fall short of our goals.
